The design brief for this project was to create a low-maintenance garden that would be both tranquil and an inviting space for entertaining. Additionally, we installed a garden office, further maximizing the functionality of the space.

The main challenge was fitting all these elements into a relatively small garden while still achieving a relaxing, botanical vibe.

To accomplish this, we used porcelain paving and an artificial turf lawn for a sleek yet low-maintenance foundation. A lush contemporary planting scheme, including pleached trees, provided privacy by screening the rear houses. An aluminium gazebo with integrated heaters created a cozy entertaining area, while a water feature added to the garden’s calming ambiance.

We were thrilled with how this project came together, successfully incorporating all the key elements the client wanted. Despite the garden’s limited size, the final design felt more spacious than when we started.

The thoughtful lighting scheme, aluminium gazebo with integrated heaters, and calming water feature created a beautiful ambiance at night, while during the day, the space became the perfect spot to enjoy the sun. The addition of a garden building provided a functional yet stylish home office, allowing the client to work while staying connected to their outdoor space. The apple-shaped daybed also became a standout feature, offering a cozy retreat for relaxation.

Most importantly, the client was over the moon with the finished result. The low-maintenance design meant they could go on holiday without the worry of returning to an overgrown garden—just a beautiful space ready to be enjoyed year-round.
