After meeting with the clients at their beautiful new-build property, it was clear that the garden was a typical blank canvas – lacking character, features, and functionality. Their vision was to create a stylish yet practical outdoor space that balanced entertainment with family-friendly elements.

The design brief included a welcoming area for socializing with friends, enhanced with statement planting and ambient lighting. Additionally, a well-planned lawn space was essential to ensure a safe and enjoyable area for their young family to play and relax.

To give this garden a sleek and effortlessly stylish look, we used large-format porcelain paving (1.2m x 600mm) for the main hardstanding areas, ensuring a modern and durable finish. Complementing this, we applied porcelain cladding to the retaining walls, adding texture and continuity to the design.

The main socialising area was built beneath a contemporary aluminum louvered roof structure, complete with an outdoor log burner, creating a cozy yet sophisticated space for year-round enjoyment. Horizontal fencing was installed around the perimeter, providing privacy while maintaining a clean, modern aesthetic.

As a final touch, we incorporated a stunning blade water feature, cascading into a beautifully planted bed, bringing movement and tranquility to the space.

The clients were over the moon with the transformation, amazed at how much was achieved within their relatively small new-build garden.
